I think this site is nearly complete. The only things left to do are visual tweaks like updating the navigation buttons and a few font issues, and the strange IE compatibility issues.

I:
- Figured out a hack to get all the navigation buttons to be flush and margin-less.
- Made the navigation buttons transparent, seemingly making all that effort pointless (but it still makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.)
- Used the same public-domain image as my current working page, but edited it for size and readability reasons.
- Made most text boxes 5% transparent.
- Removed all debug text.
- Added my quotes to the footer.
The only issues I'm dealing with now are problems with Internet Explorer:
- Blog entries are not transparent.
- One of my divisions will not refrain from having a background color.
This site is best viewed in Firefox!

I populated the site with the content already at metacymatic.com.
I'm having trouble getting the submenu buttons to be flush with one another... Applying negative margins worked for the headermenu, why won't it work for the submenu?
Things to do:
- Make the buttons tightly positioned in a clean rectangle.
- Make an image for the navigation buttons, cut it into appropriate pieces for each button.
- Remove debug text for empty divisions.

Completed a lot of major updates:
- Replaced my blog code with Rasala's edits then revised it to work within my page.
- Took the page menu from Rasala's blog software and pushed it into its own division (where page-specific controls will appear for all pages).
- Set Rasala's blog to sort by file name; named my entries numerically.
- Minor-appearing but majorly-frustrating total division overhaul.
Changes in plans:
- Since all blog entries up to this one have had their creation times scrubbed, I want to give blog entries their own titles. Unsure how, yet.
- I don't think I'll be accessing any databases with this site in the current timeframe. I've decided to populate it manually.

Updated metacymatic.com:
. Added two of my favorite quotes (that I've plastered on several webpages over the years) to the main page.
. Added a video of two of my friends using their Wiimote +
Whorld setup at one of our events.
. Added "Upcoming:" and "Recently updated:" messages to index.html

I removed metacymatic.com/csu480 because I decided that was silly and unnecessary (as opposed to fixing the course number).
I need a new blog! A full-featured one.
I updated metacymatic.com thoroughly, but still really want to make the move to c#.
I've been pretty busy with events... there seem to be two coming up in March, as well. A break for February!

A few simple updates:
1) Updated metacymatic.com/csu480 to redirect to my v3.5 directory.
2) Added a shortcut icon to my home and blog pages.
3) Added a 'back' button to my blog.
4) Cleaned up some front-page text.

Updated several things on my metacymatic test site:
* Added a "PIC" tab to the Media section.
* Removed the default cell margins in my navigation.
. * Now I can begin creating an imagery set to be cut into navigation buttons.
* Collected my files together as a VisualStudio 2008 Project (as opposed to individual files).
. * The only downside is that my site now refers to all links in relation to the home directory, when instead i want it to think of its root as Home/metacymatic. I cannot yet upload this site because I would either need to modify it to look into the /metacymatic directory or find a way to avoid having two Default.aspx files in my root. I definitely want this project in its own directory, though.
* Created the intial set of databases for my site:
. * Users
. . . ID
. . . Name
. . . EmailAddress
. . . WebsiteUrl
. * Blog
. . . ID
. . . UserID
. . . Date
. . . Text
. * Bio
. . . ID
. . . UserID
. . . Description
. . . Image
. * Media
. . . ID
. . . Date
. . . Title
. . . Artist
. . . ShortDesc
. . . LongDesc
. . . Image
. . . AttachedFile
. . . Type
. * Events
. . . ID
. . . Title
. . . Date
. . . Location
. . . ShortDesc
. . . LongDesc
. . . Image
* Populated the Users and Bio tables with data currently at metacymatic.com.

I updated the front page to say CSU675 instead of CSU480. Whoops.
I updated metacymatic.com with two videos and a tracklisting for the two mixes.
I started a C# version of metacymatic.com and added it to this site for testing. Including:
- a master page
- cascading navigation
I plan to (in this order):
- finalize navigation and background imagery
- fine-tune the division sizing
- populate the site with the content already at metacymatic.com
- create a database for: blog, bio, media, user
- replace the hard-wired content with database-driven content
- add login functionality for a limited set of members
- add web-based content addition for members
- add rsvp tool

I've created a front-page site with links to both my CSU480-related stuff and outside work. And there's a big brain! Yay for images!
Plans include:
General site stuff:
1) make a decent set of style sheets.
2) format the page to fit in a central column with the outside edges (background) being randomly chosen from a set of personally-generated images each time the page is reloaded.
3) make the blog fit on the front page intelligently.
4) make the blog display simple text (so I can stop pasting so many break returns).
5) make the front page links stationary and the content change. frames?
Sites:
1) An automated RSVP service allowing:
--a) admin login to set total allowed attendees, total guests allowed per attendee, add invitees, etc.
--b) user login to rsvp for an event, see remaining spots available, add guests, etc.
2) A full-featured blog from scratch.
ETC:
1) update metacymatic.com/csu480 to redirect to my CSU480 front page.
2) update metacymatic.com pages to use aspx/cs instead of manual html copying.
